Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
How do I select a good boarding facility
for my pets?
A.
Before boarding your pet, we strongly recommend pet
owners to visit and tour the boarding facility. Insist
on seeing the boarding area where your pet would be
staying. Is the facility clean? Ask the owners
and staff questions about your concerns. Do they
appear friendly and knowledgeable? Make sure you
have a complete understanding of what it is that your
pet will receive while in their care.
Q. What is required when checking in my
pet?
A.
(1) The most important item to bring is
proof of current vaccinations
from your vet. This includes Distemper/Parvo, Rabies and
Kennel Cough. No pet is allowed to enter our boarding
facility without current vaccinations.
(2) Your pet's own food.
(3) Emergency contact, in case your pet becomes ill
or injured while in our care. We want to be able to
reach you or a close second, in case we have a question
regarding the care of your pet.
Q.
Can I bring my pet's personal bedding?
A.
We
do provide all necessary bedding for your pet, but you
are welcome to bring any special treats, toys or
anything else you think may make your dog's stay more
comfortable. Sorry, we do have a "no rawhide" policy.
Q. Do I need to bring my pets own food?
A.
Yes, you are required to bring your pet's own food. This
allows the dog to stay on his/her same diet, and we have
found reduces your dog's chance of an upset belly or
diarrhea. We provide all stainless steel food and water
bowls.
Q. Is there someone on the premises to
care for my pet in the evening, weekend and holidays?
A.
Our staff is on duty to care for our guests 7 days a
week, including holidays. The owners reside less than 60 seconds from the kennel
premises and your pet will also be let out every evening
for potty starting at 9pm. We provide playtime for our
guests 365 days of the year. We may be closed to the
public, but we are never closed for our canine guests.
Q. What happens when there is an
emergency medical problem?
A.
First, we try with your veterinarian because they know
your pet the best. If unable to get into your
veterinarian, we rely on several excellent veterinarians
that are close in proximity to our facility, along with
an emergency facility that is open all night and on
holidays. We treat every guest as we would our own and
will provide him or her with the best attention
available.
Q. Is the boarding area heated and
air-conditioned?
A.
Yes, as well as all of our indoor
play areas. Your pet will stay comfortable despite the
weather outside. Only the best for our canine
guests.
Q. I have two or more dogs. Can they stay
together?
A.
We
provide crates for our guests as opposed to kennel runs,
so that will depend on the size of your pets.
Q. What is Shed-Less?
A. Shed-Less
is a program that reduces shedding by 60-80%
