Tier Training
Many clients today find themselves too
busy to commit to a 7 week obedience class and in turn, their
dog’s bad behavior remains unresolved. Canine and Company has
solved that problem with the introduction of our flexible Tier Training
Program. With a Tier Training Membership you can attend training
sessions as often as you’d like for as long as
you’d like. You will get as much or as little training as you
want based on your dog’s needs. You can advance through all 3
tiers or stay at a lower tier, the choice is yours! Each dog will be
required to perform certain behaviors before being able to advance to a
new tier. All clients must pay a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to
attend an orientation prior to beginning the Tier Training Program.
Orientations are available twice monthly to allow you to begin training
as soon as possible. The $50.00 deposit will be applied to any training
package that is purchased.
All training is done using positive
reinforcement techniques.
Participation in Growly Dogs is included
with any training pass or membership.

Tier 1: Start on the Right Paw
Introduction to sit, down, focus and
recall commands as well as working on handling exercises. Topics of
discussion will include potty training, play biting and
relationship building.
Tier 2: Basic Manners
Introduction to loose leash walking, sit
and down stay, focusing and recall with distraction, learning to wait
at doorways as well as leave it or drop it.
Tier 3: Beyond the Basics
Loose leash walking with an automatic
sit. No jumping on guests. Learn to sit politely for petting, when
approached by a stranger, or when meeting another dog on leash.
Growly Dogs:
Do you have a dog that barks or lunges
in the presence of another dog? Do you have a shy or cautious dog that
hides, shakes or growls in the presence of other dogs or people? Learn
desensitization techniques to make your dog more comfortable in a
stimulating environment. Learn how to manage your dog’s
environment to ease its anxiety.
